About Butterflies Cancer Support Group
Butterflies is based at Dorchester Community Church, Liscombe Street (next to Damers School), Poundbury, Dorchester, DT1 3DF every Wednesday. It is between 2-4pm and you can drop in for a while or come and stay for the two hours. Our speakers usually come at 3pm, if we have one.
One of the main benefits of a support group is that you can be with like-minded people, everyone supports each other, so it takes away that feeling of isolation and replaces it with feelings of “you are not alone” – we can cry together, but more importantly we can laugh together. And we often do!
Butterflies Newsletter 15th March 2019
Hello Everyone, Well, our ‘haul’ from Poundland has gone down very well – we managed to fill the store with the goodies. Thanks very much to those who helped. We shall be getting together on 28th March to do an inventory of all of the goodies so we know exactly what we’ve got.

Butterflies Newsletter 1st March 2019
Hello Everyone, Haven’t we had a lovely few days recently? Lots of people have been in their gardens, cleaning their cars and it feels like the winter is really behind us. We had a committee meeting last week and are planning some nice events for this year, trips out and so on and it feels really positive for Butterflies to be doing some nice things in the future as a group.
