What's Happening...

At each meeting we always start with a good old chat and catch-up, along with tea/coffee and some lovely cake. At most of our meetings we either have one or two speakers (on a whole range of subjects, not always cancer related) or an activity of some sort such as Creative Writing.

FREE THERAPIES AT EVERY MEETING

  • Guided Relaxation with Hypnotherapist Corinne – 2nd Tuesday of the month
  • Aromatherapy and Reflexology with Tracee – 4th Tuesday of the month
  • Gentle Touch Therapy with Don – every meeting
  • Don also volunteers for Cruse and is an excellent person to talk to if you need a listening ear.

Julia and Roy from About Face take it in turns to come to our meetings to support people with head and neck cancer.

Have a look at the books in our library, which is in the middle room by the door to the garden, free for anyone to borrow but please let me know so I can mark it as out on loan. We aim to provide as many books as possible covering the wide spectrum of cancer, from Macmillan information booklets, self-help books and nutrition, to “my story” etc etc. If you’ve got a book you’d like to donate to our library then please do.

Remember, as always, you're welcome to come and go as you wish and you don't have to join in any of the activities if they don't interest you. You may just want to come for a chat or one of our therapies.
