Butterflies Newsletter 1st May 2019

Hello Everyone, We’ve got a trip planned to Minterne House and gardens, please see details below (Monday, 20th May) in the section entitled ‘Other News’ – it promises to be a lovely day out and last time we went two years ago, it was greatly enjoyed by all involved. We’re also planning about six more subsidised events out in the coming months, and we are likely to be going further afield too. We’re very lucky to have our very own bus driver, who is a member of the group! Butterflies is also having two car boot sales on the mornings of Sunday, 5th May and Sunday, 26th May. They will be held in the Market Car Park. Stay tuned for the date of our music stall in town, with members of the group who are singers and performers. . Hello Everyone, Well what a cold weekend it was up north in Leeds for me, very interesting though, I was at a work seminar and learned all about the fun to be had on cruise ships. Having never been on one I was stunned by how much was on board, including a rollercoaster that is coming on one, an exercise bike suspended over the sea (eek), an Imax 3D Cinema and cocktail bars galore. I’m thinking for my next holiday I might well book a cruise. They even had a babysitting service. Disneyland Paris is up there competing for top place though.

Butterflies Newsletter 1st April 2019

Hello Everyone, Happy April Fools’ Day and today is also the day of the Brexit talks in Parliament and the new council for Dorset. Quite an interesting day all round really – let’s see what gives. I hope any of you mums enjoyed Mother’s Day yesterday too. I’m personally waiting to see what the weather is like this week, as the weekend was supposed to change, but it was lovely. Sun is out right now and the birds singing anyway, which is a start. Our Daily D.O.S.E of Happiness wellbeing lady Maria Morris came to do her talk for us, several weeks ago and the session was enjoyed. We hopefully might hook up with her to do some more things such as walks in nature spots and I personally like the sound of walking with alpacas – (I tried to book this for a friend’s hen do, but it didn’t go down too well ???? ) This week we’ve got a catch-up and chat session as our regular speaker has unfortunately had to cancel.
